Register now so you don't miss this fall's jam packed 1-1/2 day conference with education and networking with others from across the state in the rental housing industry.  Registration also includes a banquet dinner on Friday evening to celebrate the retirement of our long-time Lobbyist, Gary Goyke.

We do have a limited number of rooms held at the Radisson Hotel in Fond du Lac at a special rate of $109 per night plus taxes.  The Radisson includes a full hot breakfast and a complimentary beverage in their lounge for each adult.  Please contact the Radisson directly at 920-923-1440 and mention the WI Apartment Association no later than Monday, September 12th.

Schedule

FRIDAY:  Registration begins at 12:00 p.m.  Breakout education sessions will start at 1:00 p.m.  Lunch is on your own.  Breakout sessions to include current events in tax law for the real estate investor, fair housing hot topics, community fire risk reduction for multifamiily dwellings, drugs in multifamily housing, balance sheets versus personal financial statements, requiring renter's insurance, and property management software overview.  A banquet honoring Gary Goyke, WAA Lobbyist, will begin at 6:00 p.m. to allow time for attendees to refresh and change into business attire. 

SATURDAY:  Registration begins at 8:00 a.m.  Welcome at 8:20 a.m. followed by Legislative and WAA Board of the Whole updates, educational sessions, trade show & exhibitor demos, lunch, and reception (hors d'oeuvres & cash bar).  Breakout sessions include how to run move-outs like a boss, requiring renter's insurance for your property, property management software overview, refugee resettlement and housing needs in WI, takeaways from two current issues (WI DOJ lawsuit vs Joe Berrada and Legal Aid of WI petition to WI Supreme Court) and what it potentially mean for WI landlords, the popular Ask the Expert panel, and a local leadership roundtable.  Breakfast is on your own, however if you are staying at the Radisson they do offer a full hot breakfast with your stay as well as a free beverage for each adult.
